When a doctor is recording your pulse, he is pressing on your wrist exactly on artery.

Pulse represents ones heart beat. This pulse rate differs from person to person.

It is lower when one is resting  and increases in case of workouts.

The ideal pulse rate for adults in normal resting person is from 60 to 100.
