Answer:

let the fraction be x

Explanation:

so,

x divided by 1/9-1/3

take L. C. M of 3 and 9

L.C.M of 3,9 =9

here comes, x diveded by 1-3/9= 3/4

carry 1-3/9 that is -2/9 to other side of =

here comes, x= 3/4* -9/2

Therefore the required fraction is 1/6.

Given:

Difference of 1/3 and 1/9.

To Find:

The number, when divided by the difference of 1/3 and 1/9, we get 3/4.

Solution:

The given question can be solved as shown below.

Difference of 1 / 3 and 1 / 9 = ( 3-1 ) / 9 = 2 / 9

Let the number be 'x'.

Then x / ( Difference of 1 / 3 and 1 / 9 ) = 3 / 4

⇒ x/2/9 = 3/4

⇒ 9x/2 = 3/4

⇒ x = 3/( 2 × 9 )

⇒ x = 1/6

Therefore the required fraction is 1/6.
