Br is in gaseous state and gases have property to flow randomly in each direction with out any restrictions
So Br particles move and diffuse to the next jar

Molecules of a gas has high kinetic energy and therefore, they tend to move rapidly from one place to another. Hence, gases has the ability to diffuse at a faster rate. As a result, bromine vapors diffuse into air due to their high kinetic energy.
