given that, when a is increased by 18% then b is increased by 16 % .

so,

→ 18% of a = 16% of b .

→ (a/b) = 16/18

→ a : b = 8 : 9

also, given that,

→ 18% of b = 9% of c

→ (b/c) = (9/18)

→ b : c = 1 : 2

then,

→ a : b : c = (8*1) : (9*1) : (9*2) = 8 : 9 : 18

now,

→ a increased = (48 - 32) * 100 / 32 = 50% .

then,

→ c increased = (18/8) * 50 = 112.5%

hence,

→ c increased from 80 to = (80 * 212.5)/100 = 170 (Ans.)
