When a liquid in a beaker is heated on a gas burner, then slowly whole liquid becomes hot. This is due to the molecules at bottom absorb heat and becomes less dense and rise towards the surface. The more dense molecules come down and similarly it absorbs heat and rise. Thus the whole liquid heat up by this process called CONVECTION.
