A lunar eclipse occurs when moon passes directly and Earth and into it's a shadow .this can occur when only the sun earth and the moon are exactly are very closely aligned with earth between the other two a lunar eclipse occur only on the full moon day at night

ANSWER:- A Lunar eips occures when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into it's shadow .This can occure only when the Sun,Earth,and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned (in syzygy),with Earth between the other two.Alunar eclips can occcure only on the night of a full moon.
