When a man jumps out the joat to the shore the boat slightly moves away from the shore why?

It is due to Newton's third law of motion, every action has a equal and opposite reaction. As the man applies the Force on the boat in backward direction the boat applies equal Force in forward direction. That's why the boat move backward.
