when a metal react with acid, hydrogen gas is released. how will you collect the hydrogen gas experimentally in lab and how will you verify the presence of the gas?

Trap the gas in a test tube then testwith a lighted splint. The positive result is a squeaky pop sound. Hydrochloric acid and reactive metals, eg zinc, reactto form a metal chloride and hydrogengas. Hydrogen gas is characterized by its explosiveness.
