When a metal such as copper is heated it expands. when the solid expand ? (Hint:Effect of temperature on the particles of solid)​

as the metal like cupper get heat energy. the electron of lower shell get transfer to the upper shell and release energy in the form of radiation. and then get back to their position.

.when the substance are in solid or in Normal state.. their force of attraction was strong.

but when they get heated , they show ductile nature . and expand.
