salt Y: X OH - molecular mass = 40..
so atomic mass of X is 40 - 16 - 1 = 23... So it is sodium.
so Y = sodium hydroxide.
Sodium + water === sodium hydroxide + hydrogen gas...
gas Z is hydrogen gas...
so atomic mass of X is 40 - 16 - 1 = 23... So it is sodium.
so Y = sodium hydroxide.

gas Z is hydrogen gas...
