When a motorcycle is sold for 56,000, there is loss equal to one seventh of the selling price. What is the loss per cent?

Answer:

loss = 56000x1/7 = 8000

hence

CP= 56000+8000

= 64000

Loss %= (8000/64000) x100

12.5%
