Given :

Force applied, F = 17.0 N

Acceleration, a = 3.75 m/s²

To find :

Mass of the book

Solution :

here, we can use Newton's 2nd law of motion,

According to Newton's 2nd law

The rate of change of linear Momentum of a body with time is proportional to the net external force acting on it.

so, Using Newton's second law .i.e.,

F = ma

➝ 17 = (m)(3.75)

➝ m = 17/3.75

➝ m ≈ 4.534kg

thus, the mass of the book is 4.534 kg.

{ \displaystyle{ \bf{ \huge {AnSwEr : }}}}

Force applied, F = 17.0 N

Acceleration, a = 3.75 m/s²

To find Mass of the book

using Newton's 2nd law of motion

⇢ F = ma

⇢ 17 = (m)(3.75)

⇢ m = 17/3.75

⇢ m ≈ 4.534kg

hence, mass of the book is 4.53kg.
