When a nucleus undergoes beta decay and transforms to the nucleus (y) does the pair (x,y) form isotopes, isobars or isotones? Justify your answer?

the pair formed are isobars.

because the number of protons change ,i.e atomic number changes but mass number doesn't change.

so ,they are isobars,with same mass number
