When a number is successively divided by 2, 3, 7, we get 1, 2, 3 as the remainder respectively. What is the smallest such number ?

as dividend = divisor*quotient+remainder

now successively diving the divisor i.e. a by 3 we get

a = 3b+2

and in the same way

b = 7c+3

where b and c are also the divisor .

as we need to find the smallest number so but c = 1

hence b will be 10 and a = 32

hence the original number was 65

P.S. The answer would differ if we change the order of divisors. For smallest number, arrange the divisors in decreasing order.
