a) x - Ferrous sulfate: FeSO4
    y - Ferric oxide: Fe2O3
    z - Sulphur dioxide: SO2

b) 2 FeSO4 → Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3

Values of X, Y, Z

X -  Ferrous Sulphate [ FeSO_{4} ]

Y -  Ferric Oxide [ Fe_{2}O_{3} ]

Z - A mixture of Sulphur Dioxide and Sulphur Trioxide [ SO_2+SO_3 ]

Balanced Chemical Equation -

2 FeSO_4 ⇒(on heating) Fe_2O_3 + SO_2+SO_3
