Well!!!!
Iron is a ferromagnetic substance............ when a permanent magnet is bought close to it..... magnetic field of.....rearranges the magnetic domains of the iron....and therefore it starts showing magnetic property!!!!!...........
Now you take a soft iron and a permanent magnet and keep them together........
For some days......the soft iron will show its magnetic property for sometime even after removing the permanent magnet........!!!!
