When a person hits a stone his foot is injured ?why?​

This is due to conservation of momentum and due to Newtons third law of motion. When man hits a stone, the same amount of force that he/she hits the stone with is projected back to the foot (equal and opposite reaction due to action). This is what causes injury to the foot.
