Let us solve for it

Explanation

Every chemical substance has a different nature that is :

acid

base

Neutral

We can check their nature by using certain substance that is indicators : pH paper pr scale .

pH scale : It has a value  ranging from 0-14 .

  • The pH 0 to 6--> acids
  • 7- neutral
  • more than 7--> Bases or alkali

pH paper is universal indicator which tells whether a substance is acidic, basic or neutral

acids turn blue litmus red

bases turn red litmus blue

Neutral --> has no effect

The answer to given question is:

The pH paper turns red therefore it is identified as an acid .

The pH of deep red solution lies between 0-6 as it is an acid and is highly acidic so it could be 3-4 pH.
