If the remainder of p(x) =x-1=0,or,x=1,it is possible to have the remainder.
On dividing p(x) with 2x + 1,
p(x)=2x-1=0=2x=1=x=1/2.
Therefore, the remainder is 1/2 which is ≠ 1.
Therfore,it is not possible to have the remainder of x-1 on dividing by 2x + 1.
