Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = 2x sq cube + 3*sq+ax+b

g(x) = (x-2)

remainder =2

g(x)=( x-2)

x-2=0

whereas, x = 2

Now put the 2 in p(x) ,

p(2) = 2*2sq+ a*2+ b

= 4 sq + 2a +b

dividend = divisor * quotient + remainder

2xsq cube + 3xsq + as +b = (x-2) *4sq+2a+b +2

= 4xsq - 8sq + 2ax- 4a + bx -2b +2

8xsq+ 3xsq+as-b =4xsq- 8sq +2ax - 4a+ bx-2b +2
