when a pressure measuring device is immersed in a liqiid ,a restoring force is 2N exerted by the spring.if the area of crosssection of piston is 10cm square,what pressure does the fluid exerted on piston?

The pressure experienced in both cases would be same. So, as

P = F/A

F1/A1 = F2/A2

or the force on the second piston will be

F2 = (F1/A1).A2

by substituting appropriate values we get

F2 = (F1/A1).A2

F2 = (2 / 10x10-4). 100 x 10-4
