When a projector is placed 10 meters from a screen as shown, it produces an image 3 meters high. If the tallest image that the projector can produce without distortion is 4.5 meters high, what is the maximum distance the projector can be placed from the screen?

Projector distance = 10
Image height = 3

Projector distance be x.
Image height = 4.5

It is a direct variation.

So, (10/3) = (x/4.5)
On solving the equation, you will get x as 5.

Hence, the maximum distance at which the projector can be placed from the screen so that image is produced without any distortion is 5m.

Hope it helps.
