When a question gives me the number of protons and neutrons, and asks for the atomic mass, do I simply add both and answer the sum, or do I go to the periodic table and look at the more specific number?
Example: A neutral boron has 5 protons and 5 neutrons, do I put 10 or 10.811?

Explanation:

normally in my school we don't go with exact values and write the as 10

the better thing is to write 10 or you need a periodic table
