When a red litmus paper is dipped into Sodium hydroxide in a beaker, it is
observed that red litmus paper turned blue. But when dilute hydrochloric
acid is added in the same beaker and a blue litmus paper is dipped into it, the
blue litmus paper does not turn red. Why?
