Explanation:- As ,we know that change in potential energy of a shystem corresponding to a conservative internal force as

  • Uf - Uᵢ = -W = - ᵢ∫ᵗ F dr

Given :- F = ax+ bx²

  • According to work energy theorem , we know that work done in stretching the rubber band by t is
  • |dw| = Fdx
  • |W| = ₀∫ᴸ (ax+bx²) dx
  • ⟹ [ax²/2]₀ᴸ+ [bx²/3]₀ᴸ
  • ⟹[aL²/2-a×(0)/2]² + [bL³/3-b×(0)³/3]
  • ⟹|W|= aL²/2 + bL³/3 Answer
