to measure the diameter of a wire, the reading on
the sleeve is found to be 1 mm and the reading on
the thimble is found to be 27 divisions. (i) What is
the diameter of the wire in cm ? (ii) If the zero
error is + 0.005 cm, what is the correct diameter ? If you answer this correctly I'll mark you as brainliest!:)

Answer:1) 1.27 mm

2) 1.32 mm

Explanation:

It is given that zero error is 0. 005cm 0r. 0.05mm

TR=HSR +corrected psr*Lc

Lc lest cound =.01

Psr pith scale reading here 27

Hsr head scale reading here 1mm

Corrected reading psr =27+5
