When a solid melts, it's temp. remain same so where does the heat go?

Generally solid melts and its temperature remains same because The heat given by us is used in breaking the attractive forces between the solid molecules.

when solid melts then it's temperature remains constant because the heat energy given to solid is used for breaking the bonds between atom .

so that's why temperature remains constant.
