the heat energy get used up in changing the state of matter . in short it is because of latent heat of vapourisation

AddictionBoy: thanks but
AddictionBoy: give me answer in more brief
tanu151: its already in brief
gagzz: did u mean with little bit more explanation?

Heya, here is a more brief answer....

when a solid melts, its temperature remains the same because the heat produced is absorbed by the object to overcome the force of attraction of solid particles to change its state. The hidden heat is termed as latent heat.

Hope it helps u...^_^

gagzz: pls mark it as the brainliest if it helped u...
AddictionBoy: yeah
