when a solid melts its temperature remains the same give reason

it is so because when we rise the temperature the molecules will get the intermolecular force of attraction will decrease and there is space will also increase and vice versa this will happen then the solid will melt on the same temper because of that the heat is supplied to them is used for for going from each other
