when a solid melts its temperature remains the same where does the heat energy gone

the heat is transfered to atmosphere or enviourment in the form of heat energy...

As a solid melts to become a liquid the heat supplied is used for breaking the force of attraction between the particles and hence this temperature is not counter and the temperature remains the same.
