When a speeding car or bus turns at a corner sharply we tend to fall in opposite direction?

This is is due to inertia of direction as Newton first law says that a body resist its change state of motion .
Therefore when we are going on a straight road we tend to be in straight direction but when bus take Sharpe turn our body resist change in direction
