When a sportsman runs , he gets muscle cramps. Why??​

A sportsmen who runs he often get muscle cramps because when the energy which is stored in the body gets finished so the muscles strat anaerobic respiration in this the pyruvic acid gets converted to lactic acid and it accumulate in the muscle and feel muscle cramps.
