When a sportsman runs he often gets muscle cramp why?

When a sportsman run he suffers cramps this is because due to accumulation of lactic acid produced due to anaerobic respiration of the cell. Since oxygen wasn't reaching sufficiently to the cells they started anaerobic respiration.. And lactic acid was produced.

Answer: Muscle cramps occur when a muscle doesn't relax after contraction.It sometimes causes pain in muscles.It is generally caused by electrolytic imbalance.Sodium ions lack when we exercise and a build up of lactate acid also starts when a muscle generally tightens and shortens.This leads to muscle cramps
