When a train is at a distance of 2 km, its engine sounds a whistle .A man near the straight railway track hears the whistle directly and by placing his ear on the track of the train .If two sounds are heard at an interval of 5.6s , find the speed of the sound of the iron.given that velovity of the sound is 330ms

t=s/v
t= 2000/330
t = 6.06
time taken by sound in iron= 6.06-5.6=0.46s
v=s/t
v= 2000/0.46
v=4347.82m/s

speed in iron= 4347.82m/s
