Given :  Vector is multiplied by -1

To Find : Impacts on Vector

a. only magnitude will be change

b. only direction will be change

c. both magnitude and direction will change

d. neither magnitude nor direction will change

Solution:

Vector has  magnitude and direction

Magnitude is always +ve

Vector A  can be written as |A|∠θ

|A| is magnitude

∠θ representing direction

On multiplying with - 1

| - A|  = | A |   Hence no change in magnitude

θ will become -θ

Hence direction will change

So correct answer is only direction will be change

when a vector is multiplied by -1 then its only direction will be changed
