When a very hot-liquid is poured in a glass tumbler. It cracks. Why?

because the particals of the liquid exerts pressure on the glass tumbler
due to increase in kinetic energy of the particles.

Because it decrease the pressure inside the tumbler. And hence pressure outside is more and thus, the tumbler get crushed.
