When all the VIBGYOR COLOURS in light medium are mixed ,we get White but when we mix the VIBGYOR COLOURS in paint,why doesn't it result in the colur ,White/?

Exactly when you mix those colours in light it is due to the refraction that occurs, when you mix it in paint the action of refraction does not take place, i.e, light travels from denser to rarer or rarer to denser medium for refraction to take place, the VIBGYOR colours in paint does not have any effect of refraction although done in light because of no difference in medium .
