When aluminium metal is placed in the solution of cuso4 acquies a shiny silvery surface. Why?

if we keep aluminium metal in the solution of mercuric chloride it will acquires a shining surface bcoz..... as we see through the reactivity series aluminium is highly reactive than mercury so it displace it from its solution .
