 In the activity series of metals aluminum is more reactive than copper. So aluminum can displace copper from it's salt sollution.

As the reaction proceeds

The blue color of copper sulphate decolourizes

Solution turn colourless .

Red colour copper is deposited on the aluminum strip. .
