It initially melts at temperatures over 235 °C (unlike other ammonium salts, which sublimate), but then decomposes, initially into the hydrogen sulphate and ammonia:
(NH4)2SO4 → (NH4)HSO4 + NH3
further heating will then see the above break down into nitrogen, sulphur dioxide & water vapour.
