When an arrow is shot from a bow it has kinetic energy where does it get the kinetic energy from?

The bow is stretched to maximum distance before shooting the arrow from it. The bow has the potential energy which gets transferred to the arrow as its kinetic energy and so the arrow moves with kinetic energy when shot out from the bow.
