when an electric current is passed through any wire a magnetic field produce around it than why an electric current connecting cable doesn't attract near by iron object when electric current it switched on through ( become they have thick unilated covering on wire and it differ as a magnetic field ​

Answer:

Simply because the wire is straight and so the magnetic field produced is very small. The same wire with the same amount of current will show more attraction to magnetic materials if the wire was in a loop as we see in solenoid.
