Let the total amount of oxide be 100

∴∴ mass of oxygen is 20

∴∴ mass of element is (100-20)=80

∴∴ equivalent mass of element=massofelementmassofoxygenmassofelementmassofoxygen×8×8

=8020=8020×8×8

=32
