When an object is dropped , its velocity became v after travelling a distance of h, then after how much further distance will the velocity be double.

Here, initial velocity of the body V1 =v

Initial height h = h1

Final velocity of the body V2 =2v

Now, from the equation of motion

v²= u²+2gh

V²∝h

So, [ V1/V2]² =[h1/h2]

therefore [v/2v]²= [h1/h2]

h1/h2= 1/4

therefore h2=4h1
