U= - 50cm

M= - 1/2

Using formula : m = - v/u

We have ;

- 1/2 = - v/ -50

Therefore v= -25 cm

Now ;

Since m= -v /u

-1/5 = -(-25)/u

-1/5 = 25/u

Therefore

-u = 125cm

U = -125 cm

Thank you..

Rockstar101: Dude it ain't possible
sriaisha34: but what to do it is 100
Rockstar101: Okay negative or positive 100?
sriaisha34: yeah applying that the answers comes to be 100.2 cm
sriaisha34: its negative
Rockstar101: And applying what ?
sriaisha34: that you said all the signs n formulae correctly
Rockstar101: Yeah then?
Rockstar101: ?!?!
