The following activity happens when an object is shot from the bottom of a long smooth inclined plane:

Explanation: When the object is shot from the bottom of a smooth inclined plane then the angle is kept at an 60° with horizontal, which can travel a distance for example x1 along the plane.

But when the inclination is decreased to 30° and with the same velocity, the same object is shot then it will travel for example x2 distance. The distance ratio i.e. x1:x2 can be calculated with a formula which is:

                                 x1:x2 = sin 30°: sin 60° = 1:\sqrt{3}
