a. P- a metallic object possibly made from iron. S-rust possibly cooper sulphate depositions ensuring a successful reaction.

b. Q- blue vitriol or a solution of copper sulphate. R- green vitriol or a solution of ferrous sulphate. This reaction is a classical case of displacement or replacement and can be prevented by protection from moisture or application of appropriate external coatings.

c. The reaction is as follows:

Fe (iron) + CuSO_{4} (blue vitriol)FeSO_{4}( green vitriol)+ Cu (copper depostions)
