When an object moves in a fixed direction with a uniform acceleration the speed-time graph is linear i.e. straight line.
◆ Uniform acceleration -
- For an object in moving with uniform acceleration, rate of change of velocity is constant.
- Speed of the object is gradually increasing with time and thus speed-time is linear i.e. straight line.
- Acceleration of an object is calculated as slope of the speed-time graph.
a = dv/dt = (v2-v1) / (t2-t1)
