when an object of height 4cm is placed at a distance of 50cm from a concave mirror at focal length 15cm.
1) find the image distance from thr mirror.
2) write the properties of image formed? and also the height of the image. ​

ho = 4 cm , u = 50 cm , f = 15 cm

i) by mirrors formula ,

1/f = 1/v + 1/u => -1/15 = -1/50 + 1/ v

=> 1/50 - 1/15 = 1/v => v = 750/-35 => v = -21.42

•°• v = -21.42 cm

ii)

  • image formed b/w C and F
  • image is inverted

hi/ho = -v/u => hi = -(-21.42)*4/50 = 1.7136 cm
