When a stranger disturbs me, I would politely first try to make them understand and realize their mistake.

If they realize it and apologize for it, I would ask them to stay away. It will end the problems. But if they pester, then I would take cautious steps to protect myself from their disturbances. If there is no belief in a person, it is better to stay away from them.

I would prefer to block them away from social media and never talk to them again. If I had to face them in person, I would prefer to seek help from elders or the police officers nearby.
